Haidong Gumdo is a Korean style of swordsmanship that translates to "Eastern Sea Swordsmanship." It was
developed for fighting multiple opponents on a large scale battle setting as well as one-on-one combat with the
sword.  Haidong Gumdo is a fluid yet powerful style of swordsmanship that uses a variety of creative drills to develop
and improve each practitioner's skills.

Although the days of using swords to fight battles are over, learning the way of the sword provide us a way to
connect with those ancient warriors that lived by a code of honor and develop our own inner warrior spirit.
The techniques and movements of Haidong Gumdo are best explained as poetry in motion as they are beautiful and
dynamic, with emphasis on balance, fluidity, power, accuracy and focus.

Haidong Gumdo teaches more than how to use a sword, the vital mental training and physical conditioning molds the
practitioner into one that respects and strives to improve the world around them.  Learning Haidong Gumdo is a
great way to sharpen your body, mind and spirit while unleashing the ancient warrior within!
